halloween handmade extravaganza!

The first edtion of the halloween extravaganza is of course a fairy.

This is a cute dragonfairy that lives in the trees behind my house.

Isn't she cute and dark and i think she was just ignoring me. trying to pretend i wasn't there. lol

oops she saw me!

The bright colors for these black and blue wings were inspired by the morpho blue butterfly.
but the shape of them was inspired by the dragonflies in my garden.

baby giraffe fabric

My cousin called me the other day sheena sheena! I want you to make me two hats for a friend of mines baby shower. she was so cute and excited. She said i was standing in walmart in the baby department and i was looking at the cute baby hats with the little balls on top and thought it would be cute to have hats with ears on them and i had a epiphany! sheena makes hats with ears on top. She can make them for me!

so she disided that she wanted a bear hat and a giraffe hat. for her friends to little boys.

Well the bear hat was easy Fuzzy brown fleece with cute round ears. like the polar bear one on my kitsune fashion etsy site.

The giraffe one was a different story lol. Trying to find giraffe print fleece was hard O.O I looked everywhere! i looked at 4 different fabric stores and there was no giraffe fleece. i finaly found this adorable baby giraffe fabric with the help of the lovely ladies that work there at a local fabric store it's not fleece but it's fuzzy and cute so i think it's perfect!

These lovely handbands are a series i did flowers for spring,butterflies for summer,and autumn leaves for fall. perfect Accessories for the fairy wanting to update her style but still be a whimsical lighthearted fairy.

first day of mersday

This gorgues teal fin is my new project and i'm in love with it. I've already worn it in the pool (as you can see) about a hundred time's I love my new tail! swimming in it feels like your flying and I feel pretty hot in it to. lol

This is the first tail I have ever made and I wanted it to be pretty under the water as well as out of it. So when I cut the fluke (end) of the tail I cut it jagged so it would look like a fish, and the only fish I ever had growing up was a beta. hence the flowy beta style tail. It looks very much like a beta fish tail in the water to so i have achieved what I wanted. a beautiful teal beta fish tail. funny story about the fabrics. I went to pic out fabric that would look good as a mermaids tail (even thought I had no idea what color would) and I had origanaly wanted to make a yellow tail like a gold fish. so I could have a lilly pad bra. (in the making) but instead I found this gorgues teal and I LOVE teal so I had to get it. and come to find out it matched perfect to my swimsuit.
I thought it was funny I didn't plan to get matching fabric it just happened that way. It was fate!

new cards

I recently ran out of my original buisness cards so i decided to make new ones. yes! (does a little dance) I have always loved playing around with my microsoft digital image suite 2006, trying new things, make cards, fixing my pictures, oh and I just discovered I can make awesome picture slideshows. so kool! but thats another story.
It is very hard trying to pick out the perfect design for your buisness card it took me a couple of days but i came out with something I think is very pretty. let me know what you think of it and if you think I could do something else.


I used a picture my husband recently took of me in my new mermaid wreath, one of the new plumeria hair pin, and one of the butterfly hairclips I have made.put some lovely swirling letters and tada! a buiness card to send with my purchases.

the little fish that got away earrings


When I made these CUTE! little earrings they reminded me of that adorable kids book my mom used to read to me the little fish that got away, so I had to name them after the book. It was one of my favorite books from when I was little and is still one of my favorites today.
